 Born in the breaths before sleep and on the brink of dreams, SUNDAYkillSUNDAY has never been envisioned as a 'garage band' and hopes to never be seen that way. 'There's a special quality that a born from the basement, garage-grown band carries, and I'll never knock that, I've just always seen something more here... It's hard to explain, it just has to be seen.', explains Jakoby Winters, the ambitious mind behind the inception of SKS. What started as a solo project with a handful of pieces and demos under its belt, SUNDAYkillSUNDAY now aims for a take the stage by storm, full force band feel. With the enlisted help of friends, writing has begun on what hopes to be a breathtaking, fully envisioned artwork. Inspired by the storytelling of fantasy and the worlds created by 30 Seconds to Mars and Angels & Airwaves; SUNDAYkillSUNDAY, with the help of VERSAEMERGE mastermind, Blake Harnage, were able to create the first track to truly express the sound heard inside. Laced together with ambient sounds and a magical array of programmed sounds, SUNDAYkillSUNDAY envisions a genre defining sound in the form of self-proclaimed Wizard Rock. 'I've always seen SUNDAYkillSUNDAY as more than music and with the direction we're headed, I can really see it going there. And though I'm sure this'll be said again, at this point, this is the most proud I've ever been of anything.' |
