Randy Vera was born at St Elizabeth’s Hospital in Boston MA. Since picking up a guitar at the age 5, Randy's only passion has been Music. Raised in Brighton MA, he studied at the prestigious Longy School of Music in Harvard Square Cambridge during his early teens, while attending The Boston College High School in South Boston. Long train rides from school to school in Boston’s subways gave him opportunities to play. He quickly became known as the "Kid at Kenmore Station," playing for the commuters. He was only seventeen when the nightclub Copperfield’s in Kenmore Sq. Boston gave him his first paying gig. Though accepted into many Music Colleges, Randy chose to stay in Boston. As a freshman at Boston College in Chestnut Hill MA, Randy balanced his studies with three club dates a week. Graduate studies in Philosophy at Boston College gave Randy the writing chops to produces his first Musical in 1998. He received his Master’s in Philosophy. Now in his third decade of performing and writing, he hopes this project titled “Steeling it Back” will lift his career to the next level.
