About my music....

It's all about the touch at the piano. Of course, you need a good quality instrument but after that it's all about the connection between you and your instrument. I was fortunate to have discovered at an early age that I had a passion for music. How could I not know this? To this very day when I play the piano I feel like my pulse is stopping, like my blood is standing still and of course you can see my hair standing up straight. [ and I'm not very hairy]...

Taking the chance of moving away from a metroplitan area to an unbelieveably beautiful small town is probably something not everyone would try but for me it's been an inspiration. It helps that my husband built an awesome house and I have my own studio and frankly that's all I want to do....stay in my studio, practice and write more music. It's also a curiosity to me where I might go with my music. For instance, a good friend of mine, Mayan, has started to send me lyrics and so now I am writing vocals as well as instrumentals. Although I am not a singer my daughter, Sasha, was blessed with an amazing voice and she is singing the song "Pink Sleep" [ words by Mayan] on my 5th original cd called "un-folding fifth".

There is a very simple explanation for the titles of my cds: A BEGINNING, SECOND STEPS, TIMELESS THIRD, FOURTH FINESSE, & UN-FOLDING FIFTH....not only does it help to know in which order I wrote and recorded the music but I love the way the cds have a relationship to a music interval.

I also happen to like arranging and recorded a Christmas collection of my own arrangements called "Whispers of Winter".
