 Michael Dangerfield, born in southeast Houston, TX, recalls his first experiences with music as his attempts to mimic the sounds of popular artists heard on the radio in the late eighties. Since the age of eleven, he has been a part of a few A Capella groups involving church members and friends. Around the age of fifteen, he began writing his own songs, poetry and raps, and put them to instrumental beats. While serving in the U.S. Navy, he seized the opportunity to lead songs for the different congregations he worshiped with. Though he never learned to play any instruments, he has always recognized his best instrument as his God-given one – his voice. After performing some of his songs at a concert for detained juveniles in 2006, he recognized that God was calling him to use music to minister to others. After many experiences, much prayer, spiritual growth, and being convinced that the time was right, Michael Dangerfield was led to Tate Music Group (TMG) and recorded his first album titled All About YOU [God] which was released September 2011. |
