The Mighty Orq (pronounced Ork) is a power trio from Houston, TX known for their unique blend of emotionally charged vocals, soaring guitars and powerful drum lines.

After three years of extensive touring including two European tours and two Houston Press Music Awards as lead guitarist of the ultra popular blues act the Tony Vega Band, 24-year old Joshua Davidson (a.k.a. Orq) joined forces with drumer Matt Johnson (Hadden Sayers, Jay Hooks) and bassist West Side Johnny (Buddhacrush) to create a solo project that allows him to go above and beyond the limitations of a blues-only act.

On their phenomenal debut CD, Milk Money , The Mighty Orq draw from such influences as the Arc Angels, Doyle Brammhall II and Led Zeppelin, brilliantly combining elememts of Gulf Coast Blues, R&B, Rock and Pop with Gospel undertones that vibrate through the mind and soul of the listener.

TMO believes in the power of an explosive live show whether the band is playing to four or four thousand people, "We want to give everything we got," says Orq, "We really want folks to come away from the show moved and inspired.
