Ingvi Thor Kormaksson is featured on Outbound Radio

Ingvi Thor is a native Icelander and has occupied himself with songwriting for the past 25 years and has to this day 10 LP's / CD's to his credit. Altogether; he has had more than 130 of his compositions recorded by various Icelandic artists. He writes mainly in the AC (adult contemorary) genre. Jazzy chord progressions, bossanova and samba rhythms are often featured in his music but sometimes folk music traditions and blues can also be heard.
The band Ingvi is involved with, JJ Soul Band, is named after an Englishman, J.J. Soul, who lived and worked in Iceland for several years but is now back in Oxford, UK. - Ingvi Thor and JJ are a songwriting team and together they founded the group in 1993. They've made four albums together. All have received excellent reviews from critics. The band's music has been loosely defined as blues-(con)fusion, and is also here at Outbound.
Members of JJ Soul Band help with arranging and performing on Ingvi’s Icelandic albums where the music is often written to modern poetry by famous Icelandic authors. In the more pop oriented songs Ingvi works with Icelandic lyric writers. Many of Iceland’s most popular AC and jazz singers have appearead on Ingvi’s albums.
JJ Soul Band's new album is “BRIGHT LIGHTS” (2008). Ingvi’s and JJ’s songs can be found on various CD-compilations like ”1st Smooth Jazz Avenue” and “In Love With Jazz”.
