 It is difficult to compare Dry Riser’s debut EP “Two Many Chiefs” to any other CD that is available at the moment: which is a great compliment for any band, breaking into the music industry. The tracks are lush and varied. There’s high energy, incorporating layered textures with original and interesting changes and a sultry, intimate ballad (Rushing) that draws the imagination to a lazy Sunday afternoon in the park. The chorus on Myself lingers in the consciousness for days and Two Many Chiefs is an unusual mix of slide guitar and distorted vocals that challenge the listener to open their musical minds. The final track, A Lot For Her To Take, opens with a simmering heat that builds to an exciting and vibrant climatic chorus that leaves you wanting more. |
