 D. Gookin (aka Mike Birnbaum) is a songwriter, percussionist and producer with a passion for recording and producing all things experimental, pop, hip hop, reggae and rock. A signed artist with Moodgadget Records, he has released fours CDs (two on the Moodgadget label) — Spiral Style; From the Wall of Undoing; How 2 Deal; and When You’re Lonely, Everybody’s a Celebrity, all of which can be found on iTunes. This "mad architect of music" (Knoxville.com) writes and performs what one critic called “masterpieces of over-the-top electronic pop” ("Get Off the Coast" blog). D.Gookin has performed at such colleges as Vassar, Trinity and Hartford, the Movement Electronic Festival in Michigan and at venues throughout New York, Connecticut, Masschusetts, Rhode Island, Maryland and Washington, DC. |
