Since the early 1990's, Christian Andréason, (last name pronounced, On-dray-son), has been recording for his own independent record label, Wonderboy Records.
Born in Houston , Texas just hours after Neil Armstrong landed on the moon, the award-winning recording artist first exhibited his gift for writing and performing when he co-wrote his elementary school song at the age of nine.
Christian's first radio single, "Everybody Else," (a song about a man dealing with prejudice), was released in 1992 to rave reviews and debuted on Houston 's top pop station, KRBE. The World AIDS Day anthem, dedicated to those suffering from HIV, launched Christian on a nationwide radio & TV campaign that lasted from 1992 to 1994. Billboard Magazine soon after awarded Christian with a "Critic's Choice" nod, calling his music, "Sweeping!"
In 1995, after having had a well publicized near-death experience, (detailed on his website www.AllAboutChristian.com), Christian began assisting others in a thriving one-on-one practice based in Houston . Today, Christian uses his spiritual understandings, as well as his musical talents in an effort to bring hope, enlightenment and unity to all people diverse and similar.
In 1996, Christian produced recording artist, Kitten K. Sera (formerly known as Pinque) during her collaborations with "Destiny's Child" artists, Beyoncé Knowles and Kelly Rowland.
In 1998, Christian released his EP, "Remember Me" which was played by many top pop stations US wide.
In 1999, Christian released two albums, "The Storybook" and "Boy Called Sue" over the Internet, which became smash sellers over MP3.com and other Internet stores. Many of the songs from these albums were downloaded in the hundreds of thousands.
In 2000, Christian's song, "Everybody Else" was awarded a GLAMA in the category of "Best Spiritual Song."
In 2002, Christian wrote and sang the theme song for the award-winning television program, "Embraced By the Light" hosted by actress Cathy Lee Crosby. The program featured Christian's song, "All The Time" as well as the books and products of # 1 New York Times best selling author, Betty J. Eadie in a documentary that was played widely over cable television.
In May of 2005, a news story entitled, "Heaven's Tourist" (about Christian's NDE ) was aired on NBC to high ratings during the sweeps season. The televised event raised the market share a whole 2 points upon airing.
Later in 2005, Christian released his album, "The Rhythm of Life" (co-produced by Grammy/Emmy/Dove award-winning Joe Hogue) as well as organized a benefit album for those who suffered from Hurricane Katrina. That CD is entitled, "The Katrina CD Vol. 1" and the inspirational disc features 18 award-winning/ critically acclaimed independent artists from all over the United States and Canada .
