Bee Speed is a Nashville trio featuring electric banjo, bass, drums and vocals. This trio fearlessly throws itself into a multitude of styles at every show, playing material in the vain of the Flecktones while maintaining the edge and spontaneous nature of a fearless rock band. Tight as nails arrangements meet fluid improvisation amidst a sea of electric banjo, bass and drums. With skill and taste, Bee Speed executes music that is not only original, but impossible to copy.

On the electric banjo is Charles Butler, whose playing is described by the Mobile Register as: "light on twang, and heavy on tones and articulation". Meanwhile Christian Grizzard lays down flexible grooves, with bass lines that aim high and deliver the bottom. On the drums, Justin Amaral digs in, giving life to an earthy pocket. This unique group pushes themselves, and the music, to the new limits.
