Upon visiting Nashville, TN to perform at the AMC, Wes decided not to leave and has thus resided there ever since. He tours regularly and will release his full length follow up to his debut, 'American Bittersweet', on Judy Collins' Wildflower Records January 2008. The new album is titled World On Fire' & is already being compared to such works as Neil Young's 'Tonight's the Night', Tom Wait's 'Rain Dogs' & mid 60's Bob Dylan. Jerry Jodice of The Great American Music Hour says, "It's refreshing to hear music that's great in and of itself, not because of any hype...It's quickly becoming my current favorite!"

"Every so often I encounter a new artist that really gets me fired up. Nashville’s Wes Charlton is one of those artists. All I can say is watch out. This kid is special. He is a roots influenced singer-songwriter who is a talented lyricist and composer. He is only 24 years but World on Fire is evocative of more established songwriters like a Ryan Adams. His music has Americana undertones but it is equally contemporary." --Chip Frazier, Twangville.com

"AMERICAN BITTERSWEET" was a favorite amongst music critics. It recieved rave reviews in the U.S. as well as the U.K. "AB" won awards from the International Songwriting Competition and landed his song "TO BE FOUND" on MTV's THE REAL WORLD KEY WEST.

"Here's another 21 year old steeped in Americana who sounds like hes been making records for years. A record that has surprising quirks sown into the fabric of it."-- David Rowling, Americana-UK.

"He sounds like a 'seen-it-all' man with the voice of your favorite cowboy yelling for another whiskey in your favorite western. One of the voices that fail to tell you sweet stories, but that's the fact why you will always trust in it."-- David Wonschewski, Kontrastradio.

"He presents a set of bruised but beautiful melodies that sit fittingly well under the records title. It's both organic and electric, mixing the hum and buzz of a wired world with acoustic warmth. He's ultimately singing the soundtrack to the heartland's disenchanted youth."-- www.milesofmusic.com.
