Most bands nowadays just jump on stage, play three riffs, yell, and call it music. Trace Element is not one of those bands. Trace Element founders Arturo Gutierrez (vocals) and Lou Flores (guitars) realized that though they may not be headed in that direction, they had swayed from their original vision of what TE could be so changes were made. They wanted to see what would happen if they took the melodic vocals of A Perfect Circle and blended it with the guitar driven intensity of Smashing Pumpkins. A blend of alt rock that proves beautiful vocals and intense riffs can be both moving and fierce at the same time.

Lou and Art recruited Jeff Haehnel (drums) and Jesse Elam (bass) after one audition and TE was once again complete. It took sometime to develop their sound but they have found the formula. The result is a live show with the stage presence full of energy and emotion comparable to established national acts as well as material that makes you think as well as move your ass.
