 The 71's formed in early 2006 and quickly became one of the beloved rock bands of Houston, TX. Front man Michael Coffman set out to establish a group based around the craft of songwriting and performing. Co-founder and lead guitarist Ryan Cecil found Jacob Lisenbe (bassist- Chris Tomlin, Matt Redman) and drummer Jay Snider (Matt Brouwer, Bruce Clinton), and the quartet was complete. With Coffman's original songs, the group recorded this self titled EP before the summer of '06. This record is raw, energetic, and captivating at it's very core. These songs will surely become some of your favorites with their engaging melodies, striking instrumentation, and passionate lyrics. |
