Sunday Sessions was started by RGC Entertainment to bring original music to downtown Houston. From its humble beginnings in June 2003 as a blues jam at Dean's Credit Clothing (316 Main Street), it progressed to become a premiere musical hotspot, featuring some of Texas' most talented singer/songwriters.

During the time period of September 19 through December 26 of 2004, Sunday Sessions recorded (and still is recording) these very artists live every Sunday night from 8pm-11pm within Dean's hallowed halls. The purpose for the recording project was simple. To make available the first annual Texas Songwriter's Compilation CD to their supportive public to embrace, and, of course, to offer excellent opportunities for all the artists to have their music not only at Dean's, but around the world. When the first annual "Sunday Sessions CD Release Party" was held at Dean's to celebrate the completion of the project and the many months of sessions, 20% of every on-site CD sale was donated to the Aids Foundation Houston. The "company" goal is to re-introduce music to the "present-day, one-dimensional downtown Houston art scene". With support of their artists and other great organizations, they hope to get more people interested in community and music.

Entrepreneur and CD creator Richard Cholakian commented, "We find it an honor to help the many struggling Houstonians in need of help the most. In addition, we hope to open wide Houstonian's awareness to all of the city's diversity, its many supportive citizens, and generous businesses."
