Steve Steele is a Houston-based performer, singer, songwriter and producer. Steele began playing the piano at the age of five and would soon discover his love for singing and playing other instruments, including piano, guitar, bass and drums
Steele released his debut CD, "InfraRed IntroSpective" in April 2002. The album was written, produced and mainly performed by Steele. With tracks like the anti-suicide anthem "I'm Free," the soul-searching "Everything," and the propulsive first single "I Feel U," Steele has taken a bold step forward, making it clear that the marriage of rock and soul with highly personal and narrative lyrics is a powerfully intoxicating combination.
Accompanying Steele on "InfraRed IntroSpective" are some of Houston's most talented musicians. Keyboardists Skip Nallia and Jose-Miguel Yamal, drummer Craig LeMay, guitarist Roberto Guinea and vocalist Charlie Berry brought forth their diverse talent to help create a striking work.
Creating the entire album by using the latest computer technology, Steele produced the music by using Digital Performer, a recording software program. Steele has also produced songs for other Houston artists.
Steele studied composition, orchestration, and arrangement at the University of North Texas. He also spent time as a studio musician and as a producer, but songwriting and performing have become his forte.
Steele is currently playing in Houston clubs and is working towards signing a major recording contract.
