Rose Gerber is featured on Outbound Radio

Originally from Boston, Rose Gerber started writing songs and performing them a decade ago. On her own at 16, she certainly had her own view on life and it shows through her songs. Rose Gerber is a songwriter of uncommon ability and grace. Songs of such quality deserve an equally compelling vehicle, and Gerber’s powerful vocal delivers them flawlessly. Her voice has been likened to Nathalie Merchant and Carley Simon, though it is certainly her own.

Rose has opened for such familiar names as Shawn Colvin, Chris Smither, the Nields, Aoife Clancy, Pamela Means, Ferron, Bill Morrissey, Abigail Washburn, Stephen Kellog, and many others. In 2001 and 2003 Rose was featured in the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival’s Emerging Artist Showcase in Hillsdale, NY.

She has performed extensively throughout the northeastern U.S. and Ireland, both as a solo act and as a member of a number of ensembles including the popular harmony group Relative Strangers.

Having recently returned to college to complete her degree Rose has returned to performing with her new release "Sisyphus".
