In 2004, Rockchild was first conceived by guitarist and songwriter, Nathan Galli while living in Chico California. Songbook in hand, Galli craved a fresh start and looked to long time friend, band mate and simply "the most dominating drummer around," Brain Hansen. Feeling stagnant with their collaborative project, Galli and Hansen decided the motivation, drive and aptitude of the other members was no longer in line with their own musical vision and the two decided to call it quits and create a new start. The duo set their sights on Los Angeles, California where they would join the melting pot of ubiquitous-rock-musicians with the goal of completing their group and hitting the streets with a brand of rock-n-roll poised to leave its mark on the virtually indelible Hollywood Walk of Fame.

In 2005, a front man by way of Nazareth Pennsylvania, with a smooth and unique vocal style, blending catchy-pop hooks with rock/alternative overtones and authentic depth-charged lyricism, would take them one step closer to realizing that dream, enter Matthew Roseman. The trios' immediate synergy inspired a multitude of sounds, blending classic rock, alternative, metal and pop the group quickly found themselves crafting songs with a fresh as well as diverse taste and resonating melodies. The group had found their core sound.

In late 2006, Rockchild would be completed with the addition of a young bassist by way of Oahu, Hawaii who was then a 6-year veteran of the L.A. music scene as a member of several local bands, session player and music student. Under the moniker, "28", his musical dexterity, versatility and strong sense of melody landed him the low-end post on the band roster. After many discouraging months of auditions, the trio instantly knew they found someone special. "We were not willing to settle for just anyone," said Roseman, "We held constant auditions, searched far and wide, but in the end we got exactly the right guy."

In 2007 the Rockchild vision finally comes to fruition. The band is currently promoting its 4 song "Demolisten" CD mixed and mastered by Dave Swanson (Love Juice Labs) and the band is attacking the greater Los Angeles scene winning over fans at every venue large or small. The debut single, "Winded", quickly gained recognition on online indie-music hotspot Garageband.com as track of the week and was also an Overplay.com contest winner and is being released on the MotorM4x PC game soundtrack in Spring 08 (The Easy Company). "It's been a lot of work and we are all proud of the music we have created, but we know this is only the beginning," says Galli.

Currently Rockchild is working with MyStart Music and Rockstar Management to get their sound exposed. "Rockchild has a very powerful sound. Their musicianship is great and Matt's vocals are very strong," says Michael Binikos, producer/engineer (Leann Rimes, Snoop Dog.) With a ravenous drive to succeed, Rockchild is presently seeking label support and putting together a string of west cost dates for 2008.
The Rockchild Family of Fans continues to grow and people are responding extremely well to the bands sound. Its rewarding to see that our music is getting through to people, says Galli, "We feel 2008 will be our break out year.
