He has never accepted the craze of society but just wrote what he felt inside. Growing up in a broken home was the foundation to the rhythmic lyrics he flows out. When Richy was little, he took up piano at a young age until he was left without lessons because of an affair with his teacher and mother, which also led to the divorce of his parents. Richy had a hard time dealing with the loss of a father figure around him. In school he had trouble fitting in and was known as black eye Richy because he was always bruised from many school yard fights. It started around 14 when Richy realized his talent for rapping and began spitting out lyrics. He realized that music was a way not only to escape his reality but to deal with it. He began to rap out his frustrations without caring about the responses of others. Later on this emotional frustration grew onto the females around him. Growing up with such unfaithfulness made it hard for Richy to trust the girls in his life. This became the inspiration for his first cd No Romance. The cd became a hit in the local hiphop scene. He started rapping in concerts and in (2003) opened up for Obie Trice(Shady Records). In between his first album and his second album titled “Love” Richy went through a tough time when his girlfriend of nearly three years suddenly broke off the relationship. Richy had a hard time dealing with the breakup and became seriously depressed and even suicidal. He struggled for months but turned the depression into a great energy that enabled him to write his mouth dropping lines and heart touching melodies. He matured in his music style and realized what he wanted from his music and created a sound that he thought reflected himself more clearly. He talked about the struggles of being in a long relationship and dealing with the pains of breaking up. The cd also talks about the more important things in his life such as his family, friends, and his fans. What is most impressive about his album is that everyone can relate to it in some respect.
