Born and raised in Houston, Texas. Currently live in Cy-Fair with my wife, Melinda and my daughter, Alyson. Started playing guitar in a 70's rock band, been writing songs and playing guitar ever since.

After college my creativity went dormant for about 15 years, seems I got caught up in that 8 to 5, coat and tie, husband, father, homeowner, etc., yuppie-lifestyle. However, in 1997, I started getting the itch, songs started getting into my head again; and then I met a dude named Saylor and suddenly my musical interests awakened.

Saylor took genuine interests in my songs, took me to my first open mic, and recorded my first song in his living room, written for my daughters 10th bithday. He would continue to be a major influence in my musical endeavors.

In 1998, I started a little 3 piece band called, "The Noise Upstairs" and for about 5 years we entertained Houston with our original material, hailed as somewhere between Bob Dylan and Austin City Limits. We recorded 4 in house CD's, each one sounding better than the last. I've always appreciated the art of songwriting and deeply respect Texas singer-songwriters for their many sacrifices, even been told a time or two myself, I'm a pretty good songwriter.

Maybe these folks are just being nice or maybe it's because I write so many songs, either way it's a compliment and I'll take it. In March 2004, I started recording 12 acoustic songs at, "A Songwriters Studio" run by Saylor White and Chris Collins. This gradually turned into one Goliath of a project involving some of Houston's finest musicians; Jack Saunders, Rick Richards, David Brake, Jeff Duncan, Mauri Cowen, Saylor White and his son Kenyon White. With any luck at all this new CD will be released in May 2006.
