Hitting the stage for the first time when he was 6 years old, Mitch Barrington is no stranger to the spotlight.
Influenced by the likes of Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, Goo Goo Dolls and Pete Murray, he has been writing songs since the age of 12. However, it wasn't until late High School that Mitch decided he was ready to record a CD. At 17 years old, in the September holidays of 2008, he spent 10 days in Brisbane at the James North Production Studio tracking his Debut EP 'Life in Colour'.
The successful release of 'Life in Colour' gave Mitch a substantial amount of publicity and even lead to him being chosen to open Shannon Noll's "No Turning Back" concert in early '09. Consequentially he decided to release a 12 track LP and returned to the Brisbane studio in mid '09 to track the record.
Mitch's immediate goal is to improve himself as a musician and songwriter and he will be attending the Queensland Conservatorium of Music in 2010 to further his abilities.
In the future Mitch hopes to have as much involvement in the music industry as possible but for now his unique lyrics and expressive musical arrangements are what makes this young musician stand out.
