Karen Maria Capo, co-writer and lead vocalist of Midnight Siren, began her career on Broadway at the age of 11 in the musical DUDE by the authors of HAIR. She performed in various plays and cabarets until she completed her studies at the prestigious School of Performing Arts in New York. After moving West to pursue a career as a songwriter and vocalist in several Los Angeles-area original bands, Karen set attendance records and performed in such well-known venues as Club Lingerie, FM Station and The World Famous Palomino Club. At the same time, Karen Maria had the pleasure of having a national release of "Can I Come By Tonight?" for which she penned the lyrics. She is a member of ASCAP and the Actors Equity Association.
John Kelly, Lead Songwriter, Keyboard player and Arranger for Midnight Siren was born and raised in Los Angeles, CA and started playing Piano at the age of five. John’s music career began at the age of 16 when he started traveling across the United States and Europe performing music. John's passion is playing and creating music. He has many years of experience as a Songwriter, Composer, Arranger, Pianist and Keyboard player, both recording and performing with live bands. He works with many independent bands, songwriters and musical performance groups. John is a member of ASCAP. He composes music for use in Film, Television commercials and Industrial and Corporate video. John has composed music for Farm Aid, Fujitsu corporate video, Cable and Fox Television.
Since the completion of ‘Instead of Sleeping’, the debut CD from Midnight Siren, the music has earned the Featured Artist spot in the Jazz category at cdreviewsbyyou.com and can be heard on several worldwide digital radio stations.
