Louie S. Swift , the author of "The Froggie Who Flunked Jumping School" , was born in the small rural town of Camden, TN. After loosing a portion of his sight in an accident at the age of 5, he attended the Tennessee School for the Blind in Nashville, TN. He earned B.S. and Masters degrees from Vanderbilt, Peabody and Middle Tennessee Universities, then taught at the Alabama School for the Blind where he coached swimming, and at the New York Institute for The Blind in New York City.
In the late 1960's, he moved to Nashville and joined the growing music industry. As a record producer and a record manufacturing executive, he has worked with a litany of well-known entertainers and their record companies, including Jeff Cook of the group, Alabama, Jim and Jesse McReynolds, Conway Twitty, The Ink Spots, Tom T. Hall, George Jones, John Berry, Jim Stafford, Waylon Jennings, Barbara Fairchild, The Rondells, The Lettermen and also worked on two of Elvis Presley albums and wrote the back liners for two of them. He also worked on an album for Simon Estes, the international opera singer.
Louie hosted a TV gospel music show and several radio programs until the demand for his production services became so great that he could no longer devote time to the shows. He is also a songwriter and has written two handbooks for aspiring songwriters. He wrote the lyrics, poems and stories for this album, a project that has taken several years to complete.
"The Froggie Who Flunked Jumping School" adventure book, is the first of many others that are scheduled for release in the near future.
