A jazz singer in Chicago, San Francisco and Los Angeles, Juliet began producing/composing and directing the cabaret show, “Societe Noire”, featuring various one-act pieces written specifically for intimate club settings.
She always strove to imbue each piece with a subtle philosophical theme, a comment on the human condition in its wondrous complexity, demonstrated through the great organic messenger of humor.
From March of 2001 until the following June, Juliet sang at the lounge at the Intercontinental Hotel in Cairo, Egypt. She returned to the States and commenced developing a documentary video piece called, “The Dream” which was featured in the New York Film Festival. It explores being “American” from a cultural perspective, inspired by her time abroad and return home.
This past May of 2006, Juliet wrote and directed the theatrical/musical multi-media production, “The Lord’s Lover” in Hollywood. The show is to debut off-Broadway in New York City this Spring 2007. Meanwhile, she continues to perform locally in Los Angeles with her band, “The Torch Ensemble”.
