Irene is compromised of three brothers, based in Houston, Texas. They have been performing as Irene since 2000. Starting as Triple Hi Fye in 1997, the brothers parted briefly to persue various other projects. However, after eventually reuniting, they decided to name the new project in honor of their late grandmother, Irene Gonzalez. The goal was to create a truly original sound that blended their influences.

As a three-piece band, Irene has dedicared their lives to the art of music. Irene's sound is heavy and aggressive at times, and melodic and introspective at others. Their live performances are equally as intense. Irene is truly a sound to be experienced.
