 Gravehaven is currently recording their second album, Calico, with producer Kris Smith (Olympia, Dropkick Murphys). These seven songs will be mixed by Matthew Ellard (Converge, Morphine, Between the Buried & Me) and mastered by Alan Douches of West West Side. Following the release of Calico on September 2, 2008, Gravehaven will tour the east coast and wrap up the string of dates with a CD release show in Boston. --Gravehaven is an original, five-piece progressive rock outfit based in Boston. After years of scattered playing across northern New England, the group knew that the addition of a new musician could infuse their sound with colorful ideas and an experimental mindset. In late 2005, Gravehaven discovered Benjamin Grenville, an experienced acoustic performer in Boston. Seemingly a curious fit, the low-key singer-songwriter painting melodies over the explosiveness of Gravehaven is a must listen. Their debut EP, Perceptions for the Colorblind, was released on September 19, 2006. Produced by Kris Smith and recorded at the world-class Q Division Studios in Boston, the album delivers six epic songs clocking in at just under 28 minutes. |
