Dove Angels is featured on Outbound Radio

Born in St. Martinville Louisiana, Cal Bonay was raised in Houston, Texas. Listening to the Grand Old Opry as often as the radio would give a clear sound, he fell in love with country music.

His mother, Myra Bonay, bought him his first giutar at the age of 12; he began to play the Stella acoustic by ear.

His family members, 5 sisters and 3 brothers, were amazed that he could do this without lessons. His friends gathered on thier front porch to hear him sing and play. His father, Rev. Samuel Bonay, a Baptist minister, was also in the real estate business. This is how he met his lovely wife, Joycie Huntsberry. Her father, the late Bishop Huntsberry, rented a duplex down stairs, and Cal Bonay lived upstairs.

Soon he formed a band called Guitar Gabe. They played in various night clubs around Houston, bringing in about $40.00 a week. He fell in love and married Joycie, a beautiful devout Christian.

In love with God, Joycie inspired Cal to write and sing Christian music. She is the inspiration of many of the songs he writes.

Inspired by God, Joycie also writes and sings. Together they travel doing evangelistic work in different churches across this country.
