If you’ve ever been frustrated by a relationship and you have a somewhat twisted, sometimes evil, but very healthy sense of humor, then Chris Valenti is the artist for you.

He's a philosopher of love – mostly the kind that didn’t exactly make it to that ‘happily ever after’ place. The songs on Emotional Wreck mimic (and parody) the stages of grief we go through when a relationship ends. First you fight, then you blame, then you’re mad, then you’re sad, then you beg, then you grovel; eventually, you’re fine with it and you move on to your next break up.

His flair for touching upon universal truths help him create songs like Passive Aggressive about the cute little problems that get blown out of proportion in every dysfunctional relationship; and like The Ghost of Your Ex, a tune about dates who can't stop talking about their ex-boyfriends. Don’t Pass Out is bit of a frustrating song about having an overly drunken date pass out right before the most important moment of the night. A pretty ballad, See You Next Tuesday, uses the proper f***ing language to break up with someone because she and a buddy decided they should date as well. The album ends on Chris’s new approach to women, Booty Call.

A hopeful romantic with a sardonic sense of humor, Chris has the knack for using self-deprecation and vulnerability to write songs about the hazards and frustrations of love and attempted relationships. He’s become a spokesperson for the unlucky in love.
