Mr. Peter Nye is simply a bold man on stage. He is a fantabulous flat-picker and lead singer. Raised as the son of a backwoods anesthesiologist, Peter writes great new bluegrass songs like "Steel Rails In The Tennessee Night". Peter's gritty musical sensibility comes from years of playing tough country music roadhouses. Please be warned that almost every song by Peter was written in the hot tub. A man that goes where no man dares, Peter gets the goat every time. Peter legally hunts and fishes with his Yellow Labrador he calls "Rufus".

Chip Covington is kinda shy and sensitive, but grooves on the upright bass in the CBB. Rather than getting a corporate gig after college, he broke his father's heart and joined a crappy bluegrass band in Nebraska. Then he broke it again when bought a blues bar in Chicago where he met a beautiful Scandinavian woman. He's produced numerous babies as well as festivals and concerts in Scandinavia. Currently, he enjoys producing underground bluegrass concerts in Chicago. His Australian Cattle Dog, named "Dink", bites viciously.

Jeff Krause is undoubtedly Chicago's finest banjo player. Jeff's banjo virtuosity is only matched by his ability to reproduce and raise a family. Sure, he writes tunes too and comes up with some brazen banjo breakdowns that simply woo the women, children, and old men. Be it known, that Jeff was raised with a dark secret side and stays up late nights singing songs of lament, death, and woe. Jeff gambles is his money away on the CBB and races skinny little canines called Greyhounds. He's never never nervous.

Tommy Boyd's smooth tenor voice soothes troubled souls, not to mention his killer dobro technique. Born and raised in Eastern Kentucky, this soulful man is our spiritual leader. In earlier years, Tommy toured and recorded with the legendary Larry Sparks and the Lonesome Ramblers, as well as the great Red Allen. Tom is well known in bluegrass circles throughout the US and is a welcome addition to our sound. He also races really fast cars.
