 In 25 years of playing music for a living Brett Campbell has never had as much fun as he is having now. Having discovered a talent for entertaining children, Brett began to compose songs for them and suddenly found himself with a new career. Finding inspiration in listening to kids and their often quirky ideas, he can often be found following his own children around with a guitar. Brett's live show features Brett and his acoustic guitar, harmonica and kazoo in a 30-40 minute romp through his songbook. Playing live with no recorded backing gives his set an intimate feel and he is always ready to answer questions from curious children. Brett's show is not just mere entertainment and includes a fun educational element in both his lyrics and his inter-action with his audience. For larger shows Brett is often joined by stand up drummer/percussionist/vocalist Glen Gibson, whose talent and sense of humour gives their set an entirely new dimension. Brett has independently released 2 albums of children's music. 2006's "BC" and his 2008 cd "Purple Cow". Brett and his family live near Brisbane, Australia on a property in the beautiful Mary Valley. His other interests lie mainly on the cricket field. |
