Beau Powers was born in Onterio Calfiornia in 1963. He grew up in Oklahoma and at the age of 10 started playing guitar. By the time he was 12 he was singing tenor in the church chior. At the age of 16, Beau started his first band (HOG WILD ) in Panama, Oklahoma. During high school Beau's band played all of the proms.

In the summer of 1982, Beau went to work for Kilgore Management in Nashville and was soon working and paying his dues as a roaody for Hank Jr and The Bamma Band. After a few months, he started stretching his vocal legs, so to speak, and moved on up to singing back up for various bands.

In 1983 Beau married his first wife and after 10 years of off and on touring, she had had enough. She sent Beau packing. Beau met his second wife in 1993 and for the next 10 years, they toured on their own ticket. In 1995 Beau signed an Indie deal with a record company in Nashville and toured 140 cities that year and earned the award for ENTERTAINER OF THE YEAR with the Independent Country Music Association. This landed Beau TV interviews on the Ralph Emerey show , Crook & Chase , a scheduled show on Leno which he never made. Beau also had many local television broadcast and sold more than 200,000 albums during that time-- enough to pay for two touring eagles and a Peterbuilt to pull sound and lights. Beau and his brother, Vance, sold albums and autographed photos door to door in each town they stopped. This, along with ticket sales, carried their tour with a band of 7 and an entourage of 14. It worked and they won awards and earned their place in country music although the road was no bed of roses, Beau can attest.

Beau divorced in 2003 and has remained friends with his second wife, Renee. Beau has 4 great children 3 of which were his step children that he loves dearly, and one biological child who is his reason for living.

Beau is currently single and seems these days to bury himself in the music and he says it is thereputical to say the least so one may come along but thats another song in the making.

In 2003, Beau lost his father and before he died, he asked Beau to put out an album project and use his own given name, Byron Lee. That is precisely what he did for this last album. He hopes you enjoy the music that he put his heart into.

Beau and his brother wrote the songs, and Beau produced the music along with Nashville producer PT Houston.

"I hope you enjoy my songs and tell your friends! Without fans, I am nothing. God bless you all." Beau Powers aka Byron Lee
