My name is Amber Slack. I live in Cypress, Texas. I was born January 4, 1993.
At the age of 4 I told my grandparents that I was going to be a country and western singer. I did not start singing until the age of nine.
My friend Jeff Coursey was the first artist to let me sing on stage. I sing country and western, blues, and gospel. I think that my favorite is country and western music. My grandfather and I are song writers. My friend Frank James is a Nashville song writer and performer. I sing some of his songs such as Little Miss Goody Two Shoes. Frank also does some of the arranging on my country and gospel songs.
We are working on my CD, I'm Just A Little Girl. You can hear some of the music track of the song on my site.
I have performed all around the Houston and Austin area. I also have performed at many of the local Oprys. And, I consider the Alvin Opry home. I recently performed at the Ben Johnson Memorial Benefit. This was for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. This was a huge honor for me. The last child invited to sing there was LeAnn Rimes. My music is influenced by a wide variety of artists. Such as Wanda Jackson, Willie Nelson, ZZ Top, and some of the local artists.
Jeff Coursey, Charlie Gilmore, Harry Burkes, and Ray Pate are very good friends and god has really blessed me to know and perform with them.
