Allen Mackley's songs are usually built from the acoustic guitar up. His songs have contemporary Christian influences with a folk/soft rock sound behind the instrumentation. After picking up the guitar at 17, he taught himself to play as well as many of the fundamentals behind studio recording in less than three years. “I've been inspired by musicians such as Shawn McDonald, Switchfoot, Mat Kearney and Howie Day. I love music with a soul driven acoustic feel, and try to mix things up to create that feel in different ways. I'm learning a lot about music along the way.”
